Organized in cooperatives, the producers are located in the mountainous regions of Matagalpa, Jinotega, and New Segovia. The cultivation of their delectable greenish-blue beans occurs for the most part on tradtional shady plantations, on soil that is volcanic by nature and is washed by frequent and abundant rains. Rigorously harvested by hand and turned over with patience and care in the sun, the beans of Nicaragua produce some of the best coffee in the world.With floral aromas and overtones of almond, chocolate, spices and tropical fruit, Nicaragua is a well-structured coffee gifted with a unique full-bodiedness that has a complex yield in the cup which requires a slow and careful tasting to savor its concealed variations.
